I'm bored. People ask me questions about me and the things I've killed and stuff about doom
-
You should play the first doom to set the mood

From what I can gather, this reboot is sticking to old school mechanics; no health regen, no reloading, no snap to cover, no AI teammates to assist you, no objectives either. I just feel this kinda game is taking a step backwards as opposed to moving forward. I grew up with Wolfenstein 3D on DOS and its follow up Spear of Destiny so I'm very familiar with simplistic settings. Have clear memories of offing Hitler in episode 3: Die Fuhrer Die! when I was eight.

Damn that is cool

Maybe

I AM HYPE

Look up "Play Doom 1 free" and click on the Kongregate link. They have a free version, and I can play that game on a potato, so no worries.
-
I'm excited for it, but I won't be hyped until the pc community finds a way to mod the game like the old games. Snapmap seems like a waste if all you can work with are pre-defined interior rooms. You can't even make outdoor areas!
-
Can't wait
-
My only worry is that it will suffer the same fate as Duke did Some games are better left alone
-
DOOM doesn't really go into detail with its story. But I'll summarize it for you: "Oh no, demons from hell are invading Mars/Earth, let's send in our best marine to kick ass". Also DOOM 3 is practically nothing like DOOM 1 or 2 so pay no attention to it.
-
If you've never played Doom, go on your computer and search Doom for PC. Kongregate has a free version of it. And Doom 3 is 15$ on Xbox 360.

Edited by Bitter Mercy: 4/5/2016 7:28:09 PMWell, going by my Alpha and Beta experience, it's going to live up to it's name, control-wise, the trailers show a lot of impressive stuff and I definitely trust ID and Bethesda enough to not be pulling our collars with fake gameplay. Can't wait to waste hundreds of hours with the SnapMap. Edit: Forgot to mention, it'll be the first Doom game(to my knowledge) to not include 4 player Co-op in the main game, which is incredibly disappointing.

Played the beta I love doom grew up on wolfeinstein 3D and doom back in the day lol . ;) can't wait for campaign in doom but the pvp felt really good
