I know what the update is. Legitimately.
It goes as such:
Prison of Elders is reworked and light leveled-up to the new light cap. Starting at the lowest light arena, you get "taken" VoG gear. Then "taken" crota gear, so forth and so on. And at the highest level, "taken" versions of any of the raid gear drops at the highest light, randomly. This includes weapons.
Have a good day with this knowledge in mind.

Edit #3: For all the naysayers: you have an opinion, fair enough. Let the update show you. Make sure to Necro this post and look at how doubtful you were.
FINAL EDIT: What Urk said does not invalidate this. I said it means that gear drops in updated PoE, which isn't the old raids.
FINAL FINAL EDIT: Looking deeper, Urk claims old gear won't return. But wasn't Darkhollow and "Harrowed" Darkhollow gear listed as completely separate? Do keep that in mind.
LAST MINUTE UPDATE: The new strike, Blighted Chalice, will be in the Hellmouth and involves Fallen who have mistakenly freed Malok, whom we all know from the Hunter legendary helmet listed in the armory.

The have troubles comprehending what you are telling them. I feel a little sorry for you trying to defend your post to these kids. 2nd it will be interesting how they pull this off. Will the bosses have a mechanic like that of the raid bosses? How many new levels of POE will there be? The reveal is in about 24 hours, so this will be interesting *IF TRUE*

Wrong I actually know what it is. Poe isn't getting reworked. There is just a quest to go back and defeat skolas. Then you have to run pogoth devil's layer and winter run. Then dismantle 20 exotics and boom you get a taken shader. End of update.

1 ReplyI'll play occasionally just to do something different, but I will not be putting in a lot of time. I absolutely hated POE (even though I had multiple Skolas kills). The fact that you had no checkpoints and had garbage drops for beating Skolas killed it for me. Even with the chance of better gear I'd prefer to do something else. Of all of the things to rework why POE vs. VOG or Crota. Never saw a single person post that they enjoyed POE more than VOG.

All this upcoming gear I truly hope bungie increases armor and weapon slots. I did see a new character screen layout on YouTube for the April update. Hopefully they will have more space implemented within.
