Just got a 310 Red Death from an exotic engram. Is it still a beast or is it just a shadow of it's former self?
-
It's not good in pvp anymore after they took away the 2 burst aspect of it but it's still pretty beastly in pve.
-
It's awesome in pve, not so much anymore in PVP
-
If you are decent with it than most defiantly- I swapped to mida though, because it's just a bit better
-
No it's terrible in crucible now
-
Not worth the exotic slot anymore. Bad juju beats it. This coming from a die hard red death fan!
-
After the pulse rifle nerf, no, but bad juju still wrecks in crucible.
-
I feel it is just a little too slow for my tastes
-
Edited by Forever277: 2/28/2016 4:31:19 AMYeah, but it's a sad shadow of its former self, now it's merely good, and there's a lot of good pulse rifles.
-
Not even close to how good it used too be. Sadly.
-
Beast
-
Love it in PVP and raid.
-
It is nothing compared to what it used to be, but fast mid-high rof pulse rifles & autos are generally the best weapon types in crucible atm.
-
Edited by RJ (.人.): 2/28/2016 3:24:27 AMI swear it has a hidden perk of counter balance. Oh and it's still one of the dark horses in the crucible.
-
Yes needs a very slight buff though
-
I love it. Feels like the BR from halo
-
Still great.
-
My go to weapon in PvE since TTK dropped. First one I bought off the wall and the first weapon I made 320
-
It's not as good at it once was, but it's still awesome
-
Edited by ErrorRex: 2/28/2016 3:15:02 AMYeah it good not the best in pvp but awesome in pve I did just test it out I suggest you do that to
-
Shadow of its former self. Hand cannon nerfs-takes 7 months. Pulse rifles-nerfed almost instantly I don't get it.
-
Just a ghost of its former self but if your good with it it can have glimpses of being as good as you remember
-
-
I have never used it but I still see people tearing up crucible with it. Not sure how it stacks to other pulse rifles but it's the only gun that will instantly heal you on a kill, probably why people run it. Kill one guy and no matter how many bullets he landed your at or near full hp for his buddy coming around the corner as you kill him
-
I've used a 300 red death in IB a few times and done pretty well with it. It's not quite what it was when pulse rifles were really good, it's still viable though
-
Red death takes 7 headshots to kill, or two full bursts and part of a 3rd. Whereas the time to kill on hung jury is the same, and hung jury is much more forgiving on not landing headshots. So the 61 impact archetype of scout rifles are much more viable
-
It sucks. Takes 3 bursts to kill. Can do the same with Nirwen's with a much quicker time to kill.
