It's just the time it's active. No super should be able to kill you twice after your respawn timer. The only two supers this happens with is sun breakers and stormcallers.

I love atom caller, pissed me off during iron banana where they've killed you in one place, and it's still going when you've re-spawned. Yep dead again to it

Happens with golden gun too occasionally because it has ridiculous range.
