Next time you patrol the dreadnaught....
....just turn around and take a look at that view.
[spoiler]This is something I feel is dying in games, and lately, it seems gamers don't care about actual artwork in games.
I care Bungie! It's a beautiful masterpiece of destruction. Tell your art team great job![/spoiler]

The artwork is great and is probably the best thing about the game. Unfortunately, fun and an engaging story must also be there.

6 RepliesThe art, environments and music are the best things in destiny. It does so much wrong, but those 3 things are very well done. The music actually compliments the art/visuals, wont be the same without marty there!

2 RepliesI notice the landscapes all the time and generally take the time to admire them. Whenever Iron Banner is active I take a little time to admire the landscape off the back of the Tower.

Spend most of my time in Destiny looking at the views, all those incredible details, and listening to the music. Can't get anything done lol. If you have a chance, on Campus 9, go to the very edge on top of the building on your right as you come down, and check out those waterfalls! Edit:Wish there was a better capture tool for this game, better camera angle option, like in the Halo games. Hate taking a pic of a stunning view with butterflies and suddenly seeing all the tags in the background. *Fluffybunny dances with CrazyXRaccon* Wish we could get rid of the hub altogether for a clean shot ;)

Honestly, whenever am on patrol on any of the planets (maybe except mars) i take time to appreciate the views!

1 ReplyThe same can be said for all the other planets. Destiny does dystopia well. If we had a longer campaign though, I feel like more would of appreciated it.

3 RepliesIn contrast, Mars Patrol is the ugliest, most uninteresting view, once the bounties are done I'm out of there Venus and Cosmodrome are great places to wander around, tho, were better during HoW, TTK events aren't nearly as fun or varied

Sometimes I go right back to the games starting point, and just sit and take the world in. Would be even more epic if some badass arrived and we had an epic sword fight as the sun sets.

Yes, look at the fact you are in Saturn's Rings. It may not be the most beautiful background, but it is awesome.

I'm still amazed by the quality of the graphics & what goes on in the backgrounds of the vistas when on patrol on the various planets. Patrol is still one of my favourite activities in Destiny. Although I'm playing more & more PvP, which doesn't really afford you time to look at the scenery lol!

3 RepliesYep, I'm still to this day since September 2014... Patrolling the cosmodrome and adoring everything. Turn off the music and just listen to the sounds of the wild and walk around :)
