If you build your main base there you can be locked into completing the game a certain way. So therefore not the best. The Slog is my pool bar/main settlement.. The infrastructure is all there plus it's an all in one. You can place the water purifiers in the pool, there's farm plots already there (replace the fence with pickets). Plenty of space to put turrets on top of the existing building plus a long large space to build a homestead attached to the pool building for beds) . Take out their hideous ghouls and send them to County Crossing to work on the farms and then send all your best looking settlers and companions for nude pool hangs and cold beers served by Buddy. Built a shopping centre/skyscraper at Spectacle Island called "The Isle". It's looking fresh but settlers are too glitchy and tend to disappear often. Jaws must be snacking on them.
