There is a way to get the vault to open without fighting praetorians, and you can actually glitch through the vault door. Oracles would be a bitch and so would the Atheon fight due to teleporting.

If you glitch thru the door (assuming you mean use your sparrow and jump thru) there is no Templar encounter... It's just an empty platform of nothingness that looks impressive.
