ERROR CODE: CE-34878-0

For the past month or so, Destiny has crashed on me every time I play. It doesn't happen when I do anything in particular, and it occurs at random times during each session. Every time it crashes I get the Error Code: CE-34878-0, and I report it with an attached screenshot and video clip. I've tried everything I can think of: - Checked for updates to both my PS4 system and game - Updated my PS4 system and game - Deleted & Reinstalled my game - Restored Licenses - Initialized my PS4 (both quick and full) - Rebuilt my PS4's database - Used a disc version of the game - Replaced the HDD in my PS4 System - Restarted my modem/Internet - Forwarded all ports I Contacted Playstation support twice, but both times they were unable to provide a solution. I've tried finding others who are experiencing the same problem as me, though I can never find more than 1 or 2 posts and I have already done everything that has been suggested. This issue is only affecting my Destiny game, and only on my PS4. Every other game I play on my PS4 runs perfectly fine, and Destiny runs fine on my PS3 (albeit some major lag here and there). Please help! I'm beyond frustrated, I have no idea what is causing my game to crash, and I feel like my purchase has gone to waste. Posting on this forum is the only thing left I can think of.

Try the steps listed here: http://ps4daily.com/2014/09/ps4-error-ce-34878-0-fix/ Based on the list of things you've done, I believe you will have to re-install the ps4 system software. Edit: Make sure you re-install the ps4 software from a fresh download, NOT a backup.

  • I've been dealing with this annoying issue for about 2 weeks now. It subsided when I disconnected & then reconnected my wifi network, but started to happen again today. Hopefully a patch will help us out. :/

    • Had the same issue a long long time ago. There's a few people who chimed in as well. For me, the issue has subsided after a patch from Bungie.
