I like to try new weapons out not just stick with the same loadout all the time for all of my characters. I have a legendary and exotic pulse rifle as well as a high impact scout rifle I like for PvP. I have the Hung Jury I like for PVE, as well as the Touch of Malice for the raid. I want a choice of my swords (both legendary and exotic), my sleeper, and a good machine gun for my heavy slot. My special slot needs a good sniper for PVE, and a good sidearm for PVP. I used some weapon parts upgrading some exotics to try them out like the Ace of Spades, Hereafter, Boolean Gemini, and Zhalo Supercell. And with reforge gone, once I find a legendary weapon with a better roll I now have to upgrade that one higher then my older one with the worse roll. Not only do I need to fully upgrade all of those guns I need to infuse them up to the highest attack I can so I can use them in all activities (Raids, Iron Banner, Trials, and Nightfalls) and with the way infusing works you have to infuse up in steps, you can't just take one 300+ weapon and use that to get a 280 above 300. That is where everyone's weapon parts are going.

That is what I do as well. But I am pretty picky about perks and what I want to actually level and try. It would have to have pretty perfect perks for me to level. And with exotics I try to wait to get a 310 drop before rushing to upgrade them. Some guns I don't really level, especially if they are for Crucible. I don't play much PVP but Regular crucible seems like a great test bed to see if you really want them for IB or Trials without having to worry about their level.

  • Yea I don't immediately infuse any weapon. But for an example, with Iron Banner, the last go around I cycled between Last Extremity, Lymuidia, and ToM as my primaries. With my Havoc Pigeon as my special. Since then I now have No Time to Explain, Nirwen's Mercy Zhalo Supercell, and Ironwreth, all which are weapons I am going to want to be able to use in the future Iron Banners or trials. So they all need to be upgraded and eventually infused, and I barely had enough parts to unlock all their perks.

How did ToM work? I thought about trying it, but I never got around to it. At least it was already 310 and didn't need infusing! As for SuperCell I would hold off if it isn't 310, it seems to drop quite often and I bet you will get a 310 version soon. Maybe wait till the day of Trials etc. I would also hold off on Mercy, you might find you are ok at the level it is. Level doesn't seem to scale as much as I thought it would. For example, a 301 vs a 305 in Iron Banner didn't seem to have any difference.

  • With the bonus damage its a 4 headshot kill at NL Shadow speed, it can tear through people. But you gotta be careful when you use it, cause if you are being fired one while using the bonus damage you die very fast. I combined it with a sidearm and used the sidearm like a primary and used the ToM to take people out at a range or who I got the jump on. It was very hit or miss on how well I did in a match with it lol.

  • Yeah, I was thinking of using it but I ended mostly using that Suros Scout Rifle from the Gunsmith at 280. I started out with Red Death but that SUROS gun was working better for me. I thought ToM might be nice because of the rate of fire, since that is why I like that scout so much! I am terrible regardless though, damn it.

  • Haha I used to be terrible too, now I would say I am average, but my KD has never recovered. But the key to getting better is just finding a loadout that fits your play style.

  • Last couple of days of Iron Banner I settled in on SUROS DIS 47 + Telesto and did much better. I think I am going to try and focus on that loadout. Also think my style of play suits Nightstalker better. Friends were trying to get me to use BladeDancer with Blink and Shotgun but I just don't think it suits me haha.

  • Don't be one of those people lol. I like the combination of a pulse rifle or scout rifle with a sidearm. I will also always choose higher stability over any perk. I tend to like to stay further away from all the action and safer so those primaries work for me.The sidearm for when I need to do close range and can usually kill a shotgunner before he can make it to me unless he is blinking or sneaks up on my while I am looking down my sites. My heavy I just use a sword cause they are fun lol.

  • Lol, yeah I love Swords. One of my favorite moments was blocking a full clip of shots and then the guy grieving as I dealt the blow haha.
