Yeah the Earth will survive. But will the ecosystem? The amount of resources we are using in every aspect of life is not sustainable at its current rate. I don't see us changing unless we are forced to do so....Too much money and power involved. Sure, we are fine in our lifetime but I also think most people greatly underestimate the amount of damage we are doing and how much it will effect our future.
