Yeah he does as a mmo type of game without the purchase of new content you will be left behind, the only way this wouldn't happen is with monthly subscription. You can still access vanilla game content but that's all you will be getting as apart from vanilla is licensed software.

Not an mmo,mmo type or even related,its a simple co-op shooter,nothing massive about it.

No but it follows the mmo archetype and is just finishing up it's beta testing really so we've yet to see where they want to take it (I played wow for over 6 years so I know it's not exactly the same)
