I believe so. I can't recall exactly. I just know it was extra on the pre order, spent around $100 and said it was for all DLC packs.

If it was the season pass it says on it that it's only for dark below and house of wolfs.

Ok, Between Base Game (Destiny) and the Season pass (which only included the 1st 2 Expansion's), did cost rite at $100. Taken King is a 3rd Expan. and there for you had to buy it. I originally thought the same thing you have stated here, and found this out.
