Hey sometimes you gotta leave them behind. My best friend of 18 years has it on the 360 and I don't even though I still own one. I left him behind, and that's not being rude. It's just a better decision to play on the newer, faster, and better graphic console.
I never saw the update saying they weren't going to let us transfer the DLC from last gen to new gen. I had planned to keep going back and forth like before, but if I had seen it I wouldn't have got the DLC on the 360. I don't know what in going to do now, I don't want to buy the DLC again based on principle.
Hey I completely understand your frustration. I can't even purchase the digital download edition on Xbox one, it says unavailable. I had planned on spending all day gaming with my buddy who've I've been playing with since day 1 of last year, and can't. Bungie's reply after speaking to a customer service agent is we are aware of the issue and are trying to fix it. That's it. No time frame, no apology, nothing. They just want are money.
I find that must customer support agents are just robots and don't have a clue what is going on. Not their fault, they aren't trained well in my opinion. I couldn't even find the option to talk to an agent on their website in a quick search, so I haven't asked them about a refund yet.
I went to Microsoft Xbox page. www.Xbox.com then clicked support and all the way at the bottom is a sign contact us. I chose to chat with an agent instead of waiting for a call back from an agent. The wait time is way shorter. Try that, hope it helps! :)
