So if I have a beer or two after a long day that's a horrible thing? I agree alcohol can be a very very bad thing, but it all depends on the person.

Overall alcohol has done more harm than good It slows the advancement of civilization. [spoiler]except back in the day when drinking water killed and beer was yummy and safe [/spoiler]

Yeah... There's a lot of evidence to suggest that alcohol actually boosted the advancement of civilization. Humanity has been brewing and consuming alcohol since pre-historic times.
