Etheric Light is Useless Right?

So.. Since everything has gone down to 170 damage what is the point of doing POE? Maybe I a missing something but I do not see the need to earn this anymore. Thoughts, comments?

No it's not useless if you use one on yourself after you unlock the new subclass it fully upgrades said subclass
