I benched my thorn. Anyone else?
Honestly have grown to hate this weapon since I have benched it. Now it's all about the last word for small maps. And Hopscotch Pilgrim for ranged maps.
Anyone else finally bench the thorn? I hope the nerf kills it personally. Haha.
What's your load outs these days?

I just used 5 different types of pulse rifles and the VoG scout

I use red death fate bringer or six dreg pride as primaries, unless close quarter then sometimes last word. Thorn only comes out if I get killed by two or more thorn players in crucible, esp if they t bag me... Don't do trials because I can't get a team together that communicates well and calls out things

Always use Lord high fixer, should be the only long range HC, but no there is that stupid other gun that not only has incredible range, but also great stability, impact reload, mag size and of course dot... Anyone who claims thorn not to be insanely op is a dumbass...

OP, I decided to bench my Thorn on the first day of IB a month ago. It started to get boring, and kinda cheesy. I started to hate it. I agree with your new loadout though, and use the same exact setup. That damn Hopscotch is a very nice sniper killer dude. I never expected it, but with the roll that I have, I couldn't ask for a better ranged weapon.

1 ReplyI went in Iron banner with out it this time round. Red Death and Messenger were my go to weapons. Thorn does come out during Trials but that's because I want to win. TLW is my most HATED weapons, this piece of crap should have been hit harder with the nerfs!!!

1 ReplyI almost always used it pre-buff just for the looks (and cuz it was 300 attack), but now I almost never do. I've just learned to love other guns I guess. *cough* MIDA *cough*

I refuse to use the weapon in normal crucible. It ruins normal crucible

As soon as I was able to ascend my TDYK to 365 I stopped using thorn and I had three of them, one on each character.

I benched it for the One/One Synesthete. I feel so clean now. I took Thorn out the other day to deal with a lobby full of Thorns and I ended up switching back to the scout after a few minutes. I can't stand using the weapons anymore and I all of a sudden understand everyone's hatred for it.

TLW > thorn I have both and do much better with the last word compared to thorn

5 RepliesPersonally I hate the last word more than anything. It kills faster than thorn and doesn't require aiming and it fries way faster. I feel wayyyy less cheated when I'm killed with a thorn.
