There's a better spot on the right side, on top of the pillar, no major and no mobs to deal with, only splash damage from nexus.
On topic however, they deserved it and I would've enjoyed every second after they left and started messaging

Yup, I use that spot a lot. I just switch things up depending how I'm feeling and what I'm running. But I do like that right pillar spot with the step down protection.

I find it to be one of the best spots since you can hit the nexus with about 15+ hits from black hammer between shield rotation.
