I agree to an extent. I've been a proponent for optional MM for a while now. This is my first bad experience with forced MM.
I think optional MM with a group kick option for end game activities is a different argument though - saved for the countless threads dedicated to that topic - which I post in lol :(

Group kick would have to be a carefully awarded option to players. Otherwise it would be abused, and I'm not sure bungie could account for every situation and keep from upsetting people. If it was guaranteed functional without false positives then I'd be all for it.
