You Earned Your Gjallarhorn
You waited.
You put tons of hours into the game or maybe you've just started.
You earned your Motes and Coins and still played for the coveted Gjallarhorn.
You put in as much time as so many others (or more in many cases) who already had it.
You rock.
Whether you got it in a drop, purchased it way back, or grabbed yours today, you god damn earned that weapon. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise you fantastic mess (yes, I'm talking to those of you who are crying).
Couple things to note though:
- Don't give people you don't know or trust access to your account to buy Gjallarhorn;
- It's properly pronounced "yallarhorn" but that won't change much (I had to say it though);
- Seriously, keep your private information to yourself, please;
- When you breakdown in tears, try not crying on your hardware. Water damage is a pain.

I've heard that the Wolfpack Rounds are actually fuelled by the tears of those who have opened the Exotic chests and gotten materials.
Edit 2: Please play nice and be respectful to each other. No matter what, you earned your Gjallarhorn and anything else you got. No need to attack the other side. We're all Guardians here.

Think of it this way, if you knew something was going to be worthless in a month, and that something was in a store you owned, you'd try to sell em all before they were worthless... Gjallahorn is going to e worthless in a month xür is having a fire sale so he doesn't have anymore of that thing bud... Xür is just being a smart business man

16 RepliesThis mentor is stupid, do they listen to him. Earning in his mind is different than ours, truly earning your gally. He wants to people who get hate because they got there feel better about themselves, even though they never truly earned there gun. You can easily complete a weekly strike, it isn't even a challenge to most people. I earned mine through an engram, and my second through crota. I "earned mine" the real way, and no matter what deej says or all the mentors say, the people who bought there gallys today, never earned theirs, nor will the ever no the feeling of finally getting that gun, the one thing that you have been grinding for, so many hours for. Bungie, you made such a big mistake today, and it shall never be forgiven.

If its a random loot system, why is it that people say when you buy Gally from Xur it's not earned, but you grinded on those weekly strikes to stack up Strange Coin... I bought a Gally for all my characters.. I have 3 truths and dragon breaths fully upgraded... I mean don't get me wrong , I have beat crota, atheon, and skolas plenty of times, only difference now is that I can kill them faster.

1 ReplyWhat a move by Bungie. Smart on their part, actually. Here is why. Announcements of obsolete legendary gear and weapons gave many year one players no reason to continue to "grind". Thus, a reason needed to be found to rekindle lost player interest. What could Bungie do to get players back into Destiny? How about sell the most coveted weapon in the game... AND sell it for 17SC. There you go. This had NOTHING to do with forum crying, it had EVERYTHING to do with player numbers..... just as EVERY decision Bungie has implemented depended on. It is ALL ABOUT THE PLAYER NUMBERS!
