Strict to the lore- guardians are immortal.
Spartans II s opertate on a different scale of time though- vastly superior in tactical strategy and stealth
It would just be a battle of guardians getting reemed long enouh to give up and leave.

Alright then explain exactly how they are losing against the darkness then. If they are immortal then they should have won already! The lore also states lots of guardians dying.

Respawning was made cannon. Theres even an order of scholarly warlock guardians who kill themselves just to learn about it. We are a horde of undying warriors.
