If it ever feels like I am grinding, I stop. Early on, I realised how Random the loot distribution was, and stopped chasing weapons. I got what I got, and made do with that. I did hard VoG without ice breaker. I had multiple Hard Crotas clears before I even saw a Gjallarhorn. I hardly even use Blackhammer - I got it on my first Crota run. I got my first Fatebringer 8 months into the game.
I actually like to shoot stuff. I have a good fun clan and we Raid, PvP, PoE or whatever. But I hate grinding. I refuse to do it.
