Shadow of Veils. Sniper with shank burn...
Whose genius idea was it to create this as a "reward" for prison elders?
When will shank burn ever help on a sniper rifle?
Last week variks had the Last Rebellion, a void rocket launcher with shank burn. Maybe, just maybe..., you might want to shoot a cluster of fallen and hope to catch shanks in the blast radius.
This is pointless. Is there no QA for the rng of vendors gear? Or did someone deliberately do this out of spite?

After all the bitching, I ended up getting Shadow of veils today. Without upgrading yet I tried it out. It's not bad as the first 365 damage sniper rifle I have so far. Eh, oh well

6 RepliesWhat's worse is that they didn't even have the decency to give captain BURN as an option to go with the dreg burn and shank burn. It's just a chance to stun captains. I swear they're deliberately -blam!-ing with us. Nobody could've possibly been so stupid as to think this was a good idea.

Variks just shows a lot of hate towards shanks. As a young fallen while they were playing around on a fallen walker the shanks picked on him because of him having two robotic arms. Ever since that day Variks has shown nothing but hate towards the shanks.

All of the rewards are terrible and judgement chance does not drop anything better. The elder ciphers are the only good thing besides etheric light...period. Bungie knows that the rewards stink like a garbage truck but they don't care.

Mine has vandal burn but that is because I used judgements chance to get it last week. My suggestion is to gamble and not buy what variks sells

I think they do this intentionally. They did have a six dreg pride with captain burn however. The reason for it is to extend the content. They want you to farm cores and use judgements chance to try and get the better rolls.
