EG interviewer was hammering the dude because of Bungie's decision to make veteran players who want the new collectors edition stuff re-purchase everything they already own plus the new dlc. So a brand new player paying $80 pays $20 per release level, whereas a day one player who wants the new CE stuff is at a $45 per release price point. Call it okay all you want, won't make it true.
