E3 Rant: Out with the Old, In with the Ancient by The Rageaholic

I have to say, I don't disagree with Razor on this one. When the biggest news out of E3 is backwards compatibility remakes, and sequels, you know there's a problem.

  • I don't mind sequels at all, I prefer series' over standalone games, but the current obsession with remakes is ridiculous (as well as backwards compatibility being the biggest news from E3)

  • This is the truth. The thing with backwards compatibility is it was more something to use in the fanboy war, most people won't use that shit in the long run. The funny part about all of this is when people shit on Nintendo for old stuff yet promote old shit all the time.

    • It's a ploy for people like me, who choose to not upgrade right away. Not having backwards compatible is a big flaw for me because I have invested a good amount of money in games, and the convenience of one machine makes me more likely to want the next console. However, this should have been a day one feature if it was featured at all on the console.

        • Lol. That was pretty good. At least there is NMS on the horizon, a cool pirate game from Rare, and I'm feeling a little love about a new Rainbow. Highwire Games being founded is about the best news from E3.

            • I was happy with the Tom Clancy announcements, kingdom hearts 3, fire emblem fates, Xbox one dash update and so on. Donald Draper as fallout 4 main character wasn't bad either. Don't really care about FF7 remake Backwards compatibility doesn't help me since I sold off all my old games and consoles
