i thought ESO was gonna kill Destiny?

The irony being people who wanted Destiny to be openworld with Skyrimesque adventures will be equally disappointed with ESO which is also nothing like Skyrim lol.

It's funny how these sorts of things are determined by players. Player looks at friends list and sees half or more of their friends list playing something else. Most logical deduction? Destiny is dead!!!!!!!! Simple minded is simple minded.

Nothing is going to kill destiny, not halo 5 not fallout 4, not ESO. People forget that you can still play more than one game.

I have ESO but haven't touched it. I'll admit, the majority of my online friends have left Destiny. It's interesting as a Day 1 player, every DLC my friends list adjusts as previous players leave & new ones join.

I just have to watch some reviews on PS4 version, maybe I'll get it. After the flop that was PC version I am not risking.

No one game kills a game unless it's the sequel. But I've noticed a down turn in players on my friends list of late. And that main reason is simply they have more choice. A combination of people not impressed with the DLC for many the rewards simply don't match the effort put in. It's barely been a month and people are labelling treasure keys useless. And also a lack of content some people just don't see the POE as repayable as the raids and I am one of them. And for the pvp players I know they simply got fed up with the lag and pocked up COD or Battlefield. So after reset Tuesday and your done your Nightfall's, PoE and raids. Your left with the usual repetitive grind of bounties. Only unlike in September and October when the only decent game out was destiny now you have a slew of games to alternatively play. I used to jump on everyday clear bounties and go farm roc strikes. Not because I loved doing them but there was nothing else to play. Now I have GTA, Dragon Age, ESO and a handful of other games to spend my time doing. This is why the numbers have dropped, we simply have other games to play now.

3 RepliesLol why would you ever think that? ESO is pretty crappy I BETA tested it for PC ages ago... Destiny is nothing special either but at least the minute to minute gameplay is fantastico! Everything else... Meh...
