Exactly but there is plenty of exciting things in the universe to discuss without them needing to give you false feelings.

How is it false feelings? Inspiring wonder in our universe is bad, but people feeling wonderful about blind belief in supernatural stuff is fine?
-
Exactly. You hate people for "believing in lies"yet this article is leading people in a certain direction for a cause that some people believe in. What is the difference?
-
Edited by Britton: 4/22/2015 5:14:54 AMThat the cause is the furthering of knowledge and exploration of the universe, and the other is just sitting happily on out of date legends.
-
Helping others and trying to make the world a better place? While the other is blindly looking to become Gods in their own way? K.
-
Both view points have the goal of helping humanity. Religion isn't unique to that goal.
-
So how are we sitting on our hands? We want to explore just like everyone else. I fail to see the point you were trying to make.
-
Religion wants to explore? I'm pretty sure most religion is still arguing about if too people who love each other can get married.
-
*two. Do you not argue about that yourself? By that logic we should stop electing leaders and have no government cause it is just holding back us from finding extra terrestrials.
-
Edited by Britton: 4/22/2015 5:40:54 AMThat's a hell of a leap you made, and I don't see how gay marriage leads you to no government. And no, I don't argue about it. What two consenting adults do with each other sexually is their business. If they want to make a legal agreement regarding their relationship like anyone else its not going to affect me, or my marriage.
-
If it is a private thing, why do they feel the need to make it a legal argument? Because they are seeking attention and public approval. I thought it was pretty obvious where the leap came from. You implied that simply arguing something was holding back space exploration so might as well get rid of the government.
-
Edited by Britton: 4/22/2015 5:58:09 AMIf its a private thing why do straight couples need to get married? I mean really, why does it matter who gets married? And you're getting rid of government to help space exploration idea contradicts itself.
-
Marriage was meant to provide a support system for the children you were going to procreate as a couple. Gays can't do that. Obviously it contradicts itself. It was used as an example using your logic not mine.

But in today's society gay couples can and do have kids. Whether its through adoption or other means.
-
Was that ever their intention? Did you ever see them state that is why they wanted it? To raise adopted kids? Nope, they wanted attention from media. Still doesn't put them under the definitions of a supportive family, anyways.
-
I hope you know how dumb you sound.
-
Nice. Use the vocabulary of a five year to show you have nothing to say.
-
In have plenty to say. But the ignorance of saying "gays just want attention, not families" speaks for itself. I no longer need to say anything.
-
They have the ability to reproduce yet don't. Actions speak louder than words. Gays were all about saying marriage was against their "human rights" but they never examined what marriage was made for. Just like you which was obvious by your response after I explained it to you. They seek public attention for something that has NOTHING to so with human rights.
-
I can't even have an intelligent conversation with you because of how wrong you are. Goodnight.
-
No matter how unintelligent I think you are, I still write respectable arguments. The lack of your argument speaks out loudly against you. Goodnight.
