Let's say you get teleported to Venus 3 times in a row during Atheon fight, defeat him after the third teleport. Now that the fight is over, you open up mars portal. You were never teleported there, so no relic ever spawned there, meaning you don't get marked when you go in. If you go in Venus after the fight is over, you get marked instantly.
