WARNING - Archon Priest Strike Broken After Patch 1.1.2
So apparently Bungie tried to patch the Archon Priest Strike in 1.1.2 without telling anyone and did it poorly. You can no longer snipe from above the Vex Waves spawn half way through the strike at all without risk of breaking the whole strike. I had read that you couldn't use the highest rock anymore so I wasn't even that far away. I was sniping from where you shoot the 4 goblins right when you first enter the area. I made it to the second wave just fine and then everything de-spawned and I had to go re-engage the door. [b]After killing the first wave a second time nothing else spawned and I couldn't re-engage the door, I had to just go back to orbit.[/b]
Just trying to make some other people aware so others don't have to waste their time like I did. After some more research a decent way around this is to just leave one enemy and run down there to kill it then sprint back up to the top.

2 RepliesHonestly I don't know why Bungie cares so much about how people use their own tactics. I for one, I go down to the fight and have fun like that. But I understand others like to use a sniper tactic. I hate when bungie says, "that's not the way it was intended". So this means people can't have fun with their game? The game they paid real money for to relax and have fun. Come on Bungie, stop dictating the way players play and let shit be for god sake. Again, I like to play my way, and my way is to go and fight the enemy. I like to stay close and that's my fun. But I totally understand that other human beings with their own way of thinking like to have fun using other tactics. I really don't care what others do. I have my fun my way and if others like to do things different it's their problem not mine. If players want to "cheese" why would anybody care? I certainly doesn't affect me directly or indirectly. I could care less. I love to form the bridge on CE raid but others don't because they're lazy and all...who cares? I don't. Besides, nothing in this game is about earning or deserving. Everyone thinking otherwise including Bungie...are missing the point. Video games are all about FUN! It's not about "the way intended". Seriously this shit is getting old man. Bungie the Dictators....the Fidel Castros or Hitlers of video games. Let players play the way they wish and the way they created to play their game. Not everyone does this anyways. I play "the way it was intended"...so what? Big deal... Not everyone doesn't play the way intended Bungie...not all. So get over it and let people play their game that they paid for. Stop patching nonsense.

Happened to me, and I use it to farm glimmer haha, just leave 2-1 vex and go down to kill it and 2nd wave spawn

Like someone had to go trigger the door again. Then the fireteam leader went to orbit midway through. No idea why. he wouldn't respond or talk so i left the group. Then the second time today destiny disconnected me. lame.
