PSA: If you use The Last Word, you're cheating.
The Last Word is one of the most powerful weapons you can encounter in the Crucible. So powerful, it can kill you in less than a second (That's like a heavy weapon killtime). Often times, it doesn't matter if you get the first shot off; The Last Word user can just turn the battle the around in the blink of an eye without any real effort.
I've been told by multiple users that the eponymous perk the weapon has is actually bugged. The extra precision damage applies not only to hip firing, but aiming down the sights as well. That means that people who use this weapon are exploiting a glitch in the game to their advantage, which means they're cheating.
Look it up. Last time I checked the Xbox Live terms of service, exploiting unintended elements in a game to your advantage constitutes cheating. I'm sure PSN has similar terms. Bungie is no stranger to banning people for this sort of thing; Achronos himself stated back in the Halo 2 days that the use of the button glitches in that game in Matchmaking was cheating and a bannable offense.
I'm sure some of you (probably the people who use the gun) will start calling me names, saying that I suck or am a sore loser, yadda yadda yadda. But it doesn't really matter; the terms are clear. If you use the Last Word in Crucible in that manner, [i]you are technically cheating.[/i] There's no if's, and's, or but's about it. You are cheating.

It's mainly how you play the game and if you are a better player then you will be able to kill them, I've killed some The Last Word users with my eidalon ally (not sure if I spelt it correctly and I'm not about to check)

Who cares? Basically nobody uses The Last Word compared to the amount of people using Red Death, Felwinter's Lie, Thorn and any of the so-called 'OP' class ability combos! NOBODY GIVES A SHIT!

Well part of the perk does not state hip fire only. Precision hip fire increased. But damage and stability are increased regardless of hipfire. Helps to.actually read a perk -.-

Wait so your saying that people who use the gun are cheating...really...? Bungie put the damn thing in the game. If using an item that the developer put in the game makes you a cheater, than consider all those people who like to do the heavy ammo glitch. That is ACTUALLY using an in game mechanic to exploit and swing the scales in your favor. But in your logic simply equipping an item and using it for a bit constitutes cheating? I hope you know how stupid you sound.

4 RepliesOh dear, someone's posterior is in quite a bit of discomfort by the sounds of it. You should look up the definition of the word "fact"... What you describe above is hearsay. Precision damage with a fully upgraded TLW is identical whether firing from the hip or ADS. The exotic perk for TLW makes it so hip-firing is more accurate.. It does not affect damage. That is a fact.. You are a crybaby.... That is also a fact

2 RepliesI think The Last Word has the secret perk Luck in the Chamber Gjallarhorn - Grenades and Horseshoes Red Death - Counter Balance/Rodeo (don't know which) Thorn - Armor Piercing rounds (exist before main perk) Truth - tripod Thunderlord - firefly (random) Stands to reason why you will see a random damage increase while aiming down sights.

2 RepliesIf you read the special perk: Bonus damage and stability. Extra precision damage when fired from the hip. The bonus damage may not be considered to be from the hip, there is a full stop before it mentions the hip fire. Extra precision is mentioned from hip firing.

So your saying that, by using the iron sights/ADS of an upgraded The Last Word, you are cheating?
