The story is fantastic, it's just not implemented well because of its 10 year plan

You mean the lore is fantastic. Lore & story are different with the latter being flat out missing from Destiny. How does a 10 year plan solve this train wreck of 'rich cinematic storytelling' ?

Lore is backstory. Which is what this story is missing, we are in the prologue of a large story. It's only saying the scene.

Imagine making a sequel to a film where the first instalment had nothing in it from a story standpoint. If Destiny 2 has an actual story implemented then for me that is the beginning not a sequel. It's summed up for us with the traveller's statement that he could tell us but he wont...which is because even he has no idea.
