Raiding with Brits
British people have got to be the most fun people to raid with. I mean, how can you not have a good time with their accents?.

I really get annoyed with the whole "My country is better than your country" BS that seems to appear a lot on this forum with misguided arguments backed up with pointless insults. I'll raid with anyone, so long as they communicate!! Can I ask though, what is it with posters from across the pond retorting with "Brits have yellow teeth"/dentist remarks?? Is there really a school of thought over this???? Does make me laugh.

Its when you say something out of habit, like a British slang term and all of the non Brits are like ooohhhh never heard that outside of "..." Haha Its great to play with people around the world! :D

I'm British but I tend to stay quite quiet on raids. Polite nonetheless.

4 RepliesI am not sure why, but I am British scottish and my scottish accent must not be as strong as I thought cos Americans always ask if I am Irish XD Playing with gamers in other is really cool though, did a raid last and one of the guys sounded like Arnold (can't spell surname lol), we all just kept calling big arnie from start to end lol

If someone asks if I'm British I just answer 'Sorry I'm actually Scottish' Half the Americans I meet seem to have Scottish relatives, which is nice.

Brits and Canadians on a raid = possibly the most polite thing you'll encounter. Everyone says sorry for everything. Plus being from the North East UK they say 'a-boot' like we do... Ha ha. There are good people everywhere and also nobbers as well. I've played with fellow Brits who I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire and Americans who command us about thinking they are Stormin Norman in the Gulf War... And then played with sound people from both sides and other countries.. One guy from Thailand was hilarious

The main people I play with are British and they're very entertaining. Tho they do swear a lot and when they get angry they talk faster (imo they talk fast in general) and it's usually ends with me saying "dafaq you saying"

This British guy on my raid team speaks like the queen to motivate us.

They are also much more easy going during the raids. Some American groups I get in with are obnoxious (I'm American).

I'm sometimes the only American in the raid when I'm with my clan. There's also a French guy. They're fantastic.

1 ReplyI love most accents.. They're just more interesting. I think Indian and South African are my favorites, their enunciation is so clear. I really like British accents.. unless i hate them. I can say the same for my fellow Americans. Minnesotans and Bostonians be damned.
