I've put about 20000 hours into World of Warcraft since it launched. And still have a life.

I played 8 hours a day, every day, more on weekends, got it a month after launch. That's how you keep someone's attention with content. I quit playing Destiny in any serious manner months ago and installing Borderlands now. That will be my new timesink.

8 hours a day is much more reasonable than 16

I wouldn't do it unless there was actually real progress the whole way. That feeling ended for me 4 weeks into Destiny. Borderlands will keep me well occupied until The Division releases. If that one sucks too, back to Borderlands.
