Just got A REALLY GOOD Hand Cannon- From a RARE Engram!
So I was in the tower a couple of minutes ago to turn in some night bounties. I go to Cryptarch because I had picked up a rare primary engram. I decide to quickly decode it and dismantle for the parts. To my surprise, RNG gives me a VENATION III with the following perks
- Outlaw
- Perfect Balance, Single Point Sling, Field Scout
- Crowd Control
I feel like really lucky right now! Thanks RNG for cutting me a break. What perk do you guys recommend? Anyone else get anything get something really good from a rare engram lately?
EDIT: Got rid of "THE BEST" because everybody going on about Hawkmoon. Wish I had one ;(

3 RepliesI have Red Hand IX. It has the same impact, same rate of fire, better stability, and carries more rounds. Perks are, Return to Sender and Mulligan. Get extra rounds when I hit and when I miss. I also switch between Armor Piercing and Field Scout. When I say better on the stats it is very minimal. I would be very happy if I had gotten Venation III.

1 ReplyThat's the best roll you can get hands down imo. You can't get Fatebringer's rolls on any other gun, so that doesn't count (and it's an outdated gun anyway), and Hawkmoon's exotic, so why compare that? People are dumb. Should've kept it with THE BEST in the title, cause it is. ;)

2 RepliesNice roll! I got a venation 3 from a cryptarch package with the perks outlaw/fieldscout/feeding frenzy. It has lightning fast reload. Probably the fastest reload you could ever get for a hc. It is like I never run out of ammo

2 RepliesVenation III is one of the better weapons from the Dead Orbit inventory...and you got a VERY good perk roll for that weapon. ...and probably one of the best PvE variants. Because the two biggest weaknesses of the weapon is its relatively low stability----which should be helped a lot by Perfect Balance. Plus the fact its standard magazine is only 8 rounds...and I'm assuming Field Scout increase it to 13. Outlaw should help the reload times, and Crowd Control is always good for a weapon you're going to be using for PvE. Best rare engram I've gotten recently was a blue that turned into the Dead Orbit helmet for my Warlock. Good roll, decided to keep it for Crucible play.

I always get either motes of light or ascendant materials from all my legendary engrams :'( Ive actually gotten more legendaries from blue engrams =D

2 RepliesVery nice man! I have a lot of decent guns, but I still have yet to grab a single hand cannon with a good perk roll. :( Still farming new monarchy for a red hand, and trying desperately to re-roll my Timur's lash to something nice...

4 RepliesDon't give up and dismantle something because someone says something else is better. Their idea of good may be different than yours. My advice hold on to it, use it max it out, and keep playing with it until you come across what is "better" then get that maxed and play with it and compare it to the old one and make a decision forbyourself.

Sweet gun. I hadn't even seen the Dead Orbit hand cannon yet. I really like the style. Plus, stability is high enough that you might be able to use field perk to up the mag count...

That's a good hand cannon. I used it for a long time and liked it a lot.
