How Did Your Parents Make Your Childhood Magical?
When I was young on St. Patrick's day my siblings and I would make leprechaun traps. We would make them out of shoeboxes and tape and we would put food in there as bait. One year my parents used erasers and ink to stamp little footprints onto my box and put a little metal leprechaun inside my box. I thought I had actually caught a leprechaun and it turned to metal. It was really cool and looking back I appreciate that they did that for me.
Have your parents ever done something like that for you in your childhood?
Edit: This really was supposed to be a happy thread but I should've known it was going to turn out this way.

My mom once got busted at a meth lab when I was in middle school, it made the front page of the paper I think. She had this thing where she liked to go to jail every 2 years for awhile there.

1 ReplyMagical isn't a word to describe it. My mom always threw the best parties, and my dad always was able to convince my mom that I could play "violent" video games within reason (really though: Battlefront wasn't that bad of a game. For a 4/5 year old? Maybe. But it was pretty tame).

1 ReplyDude they did the classic Santa Claus tricks like eat some of the cookies and milk, say they tried to wake me up, they even cut off the power one time when I was determined to see him. They were like that for everything down to the tooth fairy, they really did make it very magical

2 RepliesThey made it miserable was fine until my brother was born when I was 5. Unfortunately he got diagnosed with autism then it all turned to shit. My dad went to the pub and never came back, my mam was depressed all the time. I never did anything or went anywhere.
